How much can Storage hold, and why are you still overweight?

Storage’s maximum weight increased from 200 to 1,000 in the November 7 update. This is a storage weight limit, not a promise of 1,000 item slots or a larger personal Bag.

Check the correct capacity

When moving items out of your Bag, compare the Bag’s weight reading with Storage’s weight reading. Moving items into Storage changes what you carry; the Storage cap does not increase the amount your character can carry at once.

The same patch corrected a separate refresh problem: when an already-overweight Bag changed weight through storing or retrieving items, the overweight effect could fail to update. That was a status refresh bug, not an additional storage upgrade to purchase.

If the overweight icon remains

1. Make sure Steam has installed the November 7 update or a later version.
2. Open the Bag and Storage and check the displayed weights after the transfer completes.
3. If the Bag is still over its own limit, the larger Storage limit alone will not remove that state.
4. If the Bag is below its limit but the effect remains, capture both the weight and status display for support.

The published fix does not change the Bag’s stated cap or establish a universal carry-weight formula. Avoid selling useful equipment or buying an upgrade merely because an old guide still quotes 200 for Storage. For a repeatable post-patch fault, include which direction you moved the items and the before/after weight readings.
