The official progression overview supports dungeons solo or with a party of up to four. That establishes a supported way to enter, not a promise that every dungeon is easy alone or balanced for your current character. Choose the attempt around the encounter you can handle.
Decide whether solo is solving your problem
Solo play lets you learn an encounter at your own pace. Bringing friends gives you more people to coordinate, but the official description does not specify a mandatory tank, healer and damage lineup or a universal party matchmaking system.
If your last attempt failed because you could not read an attack, more attempts may help you learn. If you repeatedly lack room to finish your weapon's setup, inspect your unlocked defensive tools and consider a coordinated group. Those are practical choices, not measured solo-clear rankings for the classes.
Check your character before entering
- Review unused stat points and your actual equipped weapon's Traits tree.
- Confirm that the skills you intend to use are unlocked, rather than merely visible farther along the tree.
- If survival is the obstacle, consider exploring for Nui Tear HP upgrades or other available progression before returning.
- Look at the current quest and entry requirements instead of copying an old demo level recommendation.
The developer describes leaving a difficult fight, exploring and returning stronger as part of progression. There is no universal required level or guaranteed solo-clear build in that description.
If you bring a party, prepare the transition too
Quest progress is shared inside the dungeon, but the November 4 response warns that some key items are not shared. Make sure each player obtains their own relevant key item; do not assume one member's pickup completes every inventory requirement.
Keep the party intact until everyone has moved to the next area after completing the dungeon. The same response identifies disbanding or the leader leaving as a progression risk. Shared progress is not permission to leave immediately after the boss.
A disconnect and a party disband are different
The launch letter says instance progress persists after disconnecting in Early Access regions. It does not cancel the separate warning about party disbands. When reporting a blocker, note whether a player disconnected, the leader left or the whole party dissolved, and record the quest and key state. Do not assume repeated disbands are a safe way to reset the encounter.
