Which controls can you remap, and is Steam Deck supported?

The October 29 producer letter confirms rebinding for 10 UI shortcuts. The November 4 launch response still describes freely reassignable movement keys as an improvement in progress. A remappable menu shortcut does not prove every movement or combat action is remappable.

Check the action you actually need

Open the control settings and find the named action. Check whether its binding is editable, choose an unused input if the game permits it, and test it in a safe location. Keep a note of the original binding so you can restore it if another action conflicts.

If a movement action cannot be changed, compare it with the launch notice before treating it as a broken keyboard. The announced improvement has no release date in that notice. Do not install a supposedly required remapping utility or edit undocumented game files on that basis.

Mouse and controller have separate camera inversion

The October 29 changes include separate Y-axis inversion settings for mouse and controller. If switching devices makes the camera feel reversed, inspect the setting for the active device. Changing the mouse option is not the same as changing the controller option.

The letter does not provide a complete controller-button map or guarantee every device model. Follow the current device prompts rather than translating keyboard keys into guessed controller buttons.

Steam Deck is a separate support question

The November 4 notice says Linux and Steam Deck are not officially supported at that time. Controller settings on PC do not change that statement. A community workaround is not official support or a promise that anti-cheat and future updates will work.

For a reproducible input problem on a supported setup, record the input device, action, current binding and what happens instead. Customer Support is available from the ESC menu. That is more actionable than reporting only that controls feel wrong.
